I know this has been doing the rounds and I'm not sure whether it's in favour or out of favour with the majority of people! However, as my good friend jazz&catlover tagged me I feel I should enter into the spirit of things. This photo is one I didn't put up from our Komandoo (Maldives) trip last year. I chose it as we are lucky enough to be going back again this year and it's a lovely reminder of the wonderful sights that are there. So, 9 things about me: 1. I work to live, I do NOT live to work - I always want to keep a good work/life balance. 2. I am a qualified teacher and taught primary school children for 13 years. I miss teaching children but I don't miss the lack of home life that went with the job. 3. I have always wanted to own a horse. I used to go horse riding as a child and every year would enter the WH Smith 'win a pony competition'. I never won the competition, my parents could never afford for me to have a horse and now I suppose I could afford it I don't live in the right place! 4. I love sparkly things. Anything - jewellery (especially) but also sequins, glitter, tinsel anything that shines or sparkles. I am a magpie! 5. I am a MAC convert. When I met my husband Neil he was a MAC user and when he moved in he introduced me to the wonderful world of all things MAC! Currently we own two imacs and a MacBook Pro, we both have iphones and my mum has three of our 'hand-me-downs' - an original imac G4 with the domed base, an imac G5 and my Powerbook G4. A work colleague of Neil's is trialling our old MAC mini! 6. I love gaming. Neil bought me a Playstation3 for Christmas and I am sooo enjoying Prince of Persia at the moment. We also have a wii, gamecube, PS2 and N64. My mum was the person who introduced me to the N64! My favourite game ever is Zelda. 7. I live in Portsmouth, Hampshire, south of England. I was born here and grew up here. The only other place I have lived, and that was only when I was at University, was Durham - in the North East of England. I like living here. I can't imagine not living near the sea. 8. Snorkelling in the Maldives is one of the most beautiful experiences I've ever had. I feel privileged to enter this other world. If you've never tried snorkelling somewhere beautiful make it a goal! There are some pictures here. 9. I am extremely happily married. It took me quite a few years (and one failed marriage) to meet the right person but now I've found him for sure! Gosh that's a lot of writing! I don't blame you if you haven't managed to read it all!
Hungry Birds Attacking Fishermen

Interesting video from the birds eye view of an exotic bird watching at the sea of epSos.de where hungry ocean gulls attack fishermen for not giving them enough fish. This picture was created for my flying friend epSos.de and can be used for FREE. The big, scary animals are eating while flying under sunny conditions and a calm water waves at the hot beach in Ecuador.

The Unknown Bird Silhouette

Waiting to take pictures of the sunset at Cyprus Lake we watched these birds diving into the water trying to catch a meal. They would fly down to one end of the lake, perform a few dives, then zip back to the other end of the lake, perform a few more dives and repeat. The birds have an orange beak, black head, mostly white or grey body with a white tail.
