Bird in my house

bird picture

Last week I entered my apartment in Tel-Aviv. Suddenly I noticed a bird near my computer. Of course I took my camera and took its picture at first. After that I helped it to get out. It seems like it's a domesticated bird, I don't really know its name, nor have seen it ever (I guess). Thanks to mpgoodey, I now know it's a Zebra Finch, and you can see the rest in his comment.

Picture a day 202 2012/07/20 Some weird kind of bird egg. The parent birds were not in sight. Perhaps a Tiger Swallow?

Picture A Day November 1, 2009 - Loggerhead Shrike at Brazos Bend

A solitary Loggerhead Shrike atop a dead tree post along the trail at Brazos Bend State Park in southeast Texas. While the park is better known for its native alligator population and numerous waterfowl, the bayous and swamps are perfect for all kinds of birds. You can view more photos from my 2009 'Picture a Day' set at: www.flickr.com/photos/matthigh/sets/72157625855768121/ And the fun continues with a Picture a Day through 2010 at: www.flickr.com/photos/matthigh/sets/72157620610035860/

Bird Island

A close look at this picture shows at least 9 nests. Toward the harder slope, it looks like there is an increased concentration of nests. This might be where the most sun hits and some of the warmest ground.

Birds of the same feather flock together!

ever since i have taken this picture,..i have learnt quite a lot on the rules of composition,...although the horizon is not straight in this picture i have somehow not bothered editing it,..its a reminder of this basic flaw!

Taken with my 500mm (1000mm equiv) Mirror Reflex lens. This cross is on the top of the dome of the Duomo (Cathedral) in Pisa, and is a looong way away. These crows seemed to be posing for me! ( a Murder of crows!) have a look at my other photos of the Pisa Duomo & see if you can see how high this cross is! View On Black View my stream LARGE on DARKR it is worth it. See where this picture was taken. [?]

I ran out for a bite to eat and was taken by the weather. My camera happened to be in the car so I stopped by Hawrelak park in Edmonton to take some pictures. I most got pictures of the birds as the second you try and take pictures of people in a public park people think you're creepy (I did get a few though... which I'll post in the next few days). Enjoy the birds.
